Access Network
TT-Office access solutions are based on the THUS Next Generation Network (NGN)
Customers’ connections into the network can be provided over different access connection types and at various different bandwidths, dependent on the requirements of each location. The access connection types available include:
- Demon DSL - delivers high specification broadband connections to small and medium sized businesses and to large corporations for remote offices and home workers. A full spectrum of business DSL services is available, ranging in speed from 612kbps to 2Mbps.
- Private Access DSL (PaDSL) - ideal for connecting remote workers and smaller sites securely and in a cost effective way. Providing 256kbps upstream bandwidth and either 512kbps or 2Mbps downstream bandwidth, PaDSL offers business users the benefits of security and predictability generally associated with dedicated communications links with the lower costs of using DSL-based networking technology.
- City Ethernet - provides a simple, cost effective solution for connecting sites in the same metropolitan area, backed by the exceptional service and support of one of the country’s most reliable communications companies. City Ethernet consists of point to point circuits which provide a secure, dedicated connection between any two sites in the same metro area at distances up to 35km.
- National Ethernet - delivers the speed, flexibility, effectiveness and levels of service that are essential to modern business. National Ethernet provides dedicated bandwidth and supports private networking or voice, video and data traffic. Ethernet delivery is from 1Mbps to 1Gbps.
Additionally, customers can select bandwidth requirements for the various classes of service and need not ‘fill’ the whole access circuit with bandwidth, leaving room for quick and easy upgrades without needing physical changes.
Provided With Managed Router
TT-Office believes in offering an end-to-end service and provides managed routers, from a range of Cisco devices, to meet your access requirements.
The flexibility in terms of bandwidths, the range of site delivery options and the services we provide enable us to offer standard solutions tailored to your needs, at a price that meets your budget.
Network Performance
TT-Office solutions are run on the Thus network, a world-class, Cisco-backed network, optimised for outage-sensitive applications, from broadcast standard transmissions to IP telephony and video conferencing.
Network Built to Broadcast Standard
THUS delivers an MPLS IP VPN solution that is of broadcast standard, designed to support real-time audio and video broadcasts (Unicast and Multicast) with no loss of quality, and no blips in audio or video content. Providing truly excellent application performance.
Resilience Options
In addition to the flexible range of access options outlined above, a range of resilience options is available. For smaller sites with PaDSL as the primary access method, ISDN can be used as the backup technology, with automatic failover in the event of primary access failure. At sites where Leased Line or Ethernet circuits are used as the primary access circuit, PaDSL or ISDN can be used as the backup technology, again providing automatic failover in the event of primary access failure. THUS can deploy two Leased Line/Ethernet circuits in a resilient configuration, in normal circumstances load balancing traffic across both circuits but, in a failure scenario, using only one of the circuits to carry the most critical traffic.
Comprehensive Service Level Agreement
The THUS network used by TT-Office comes with a stringent Service Level Agreement, including exacting availability and network performance service level guarantees, fix times of five hours and 24/7, 365 days a year customer service and fault management. THUS guarantees a core network availability of 99.95% and provides service credits based upon any downtime experienced outside this figure. THUS also offers 99.90% on Ethernet delivered circuits. Higher SLAs, up to 99.995%, are available where certain resilient connections are deployed.
