Providing a receptionist status to any PC in any location

The Operator Console is a specialised version of a soft phone and provides a complete business communication solution. The application window provides the operator with a clear interface that enables them to answer, make and handle calls with ease. Calls can be taken using a USB handset or headset.

The application window shows the status of all calls in progress and those calls waiting to be answered. The call status shows the details of the calling and called party of the call. This will include the Calling Line Identity (CLI) or name, if available. This feature helps the operator personalise the service given to internal callers.

The Operator Console has the option to respond to the operator’s voice, if Microsoft's Speech API is installed. It provides access to many key features and the layout can be configured by altering the skin depending on the operator's preference.

This soft phone is not recommended for access to Emergency Services. A soft phone is dependent on the PC and network it is connected to therefore it will not work if there is a power cut or broadband failure.
